2016/06/11(土) 航空会社へ
今度は航空会社に書いた。これまた、マーーと同じで、字数制限があって苦労した。書きたいだけ書かせればいいじゃないか。どうせコンピュータ内のことなんだしさ。。。でもともかく、全文をここに残しておく。道に落ちてるごみに罪はなし。落とす人間が悪い。平気な顔をして、自分たちの優位性を見せつけたがる人間のごみは、拾うどころか、足で踏みつけて、踏みつけて、息の根をとめてやる。。(笑)

On June 8, I was on flight 1090 from Miami to O'Hare. I am an Asian woman, and I sat in seat 24 D. I was sitting next to a young Hispanic woman in 24 F (24 E was empty). I purchased a packet of cheese and fruit when the food cart came by pushed by Jo。。. J was walking back and forth up and down the aisle, as he was also helping with the drink cart with Sk。。 whose cart was at around row 16 or 17.

When Jo。。 passed by after handing us our food, he told me that drinks would soon follow. After he was done with the food cart, he went back to Sk whose cart was then at about row 18 or 19. Jo pulled the cart up to row 25 and started serving drinks to row 25, where a white family (father, mother and daughter) sat.

Sk took a while to serve drinks to rows 21-23 and finally she came to us. All three women in 24 A, ,B, and C were sleeping and Skyler did not offer them drinks. She looked over at our trays of food. I looked up at her face, expecting that she would finally offer us drinks. Actually, when I saw her, she made a timid smile, did not say anything, and started pushing the cart away.

The people in row 25 and beyond had already been served by Jo. When I was fairly confident that she would not come back to us and pushed the flight attendant call button, the cart was already at around row 28 or 29. I heard Jo saying to Sk, "check what they want. Sk came back to us and I said to her, "I have been waiting for drinks and you skipped us."

Sk answered, "Oh, I am sorry. I thought that you already got drinks since you purchased food"

The reality is that because the Hispanic woman and I purchased food, we were the last of all 200 passengers to be served!!!

My questions are as follows:

1. From my over 40 years of flight experience, the fact that Jo pulled the cart from around row 19 to 25 is very odd. Usually the flight attendant moves the cart only 2-3 rows. The fact Jo started serving drinks from row 25 can be considered a micro aggression. He did not want to serve drinks to minority women even though he knew that we had bought food from him.

2. It is also odd that Sk did not see that we had not received drinks when she looked over at our trays. If her mind was so rigidly set on the idea that we had already received drinks when she saw that we had purchased food, I guess that there must be an internal rule that passengers who purchase food need to be served drinks immediately, and if so, Jos discriminatory attitude/treatment would be even more evident.
In conclusion, I will never purchase food on Airlines again. Further, I expect that the flight attendants will be better coordinated and ethical in their treatment of passengers in case I ever have to fly on 。。。in the future.
